| Course description | This course offers a solid introduction to the movement principles of classical T’ai Chi Ch’uan. The focus is learning the first part of the classical short form according to Cheng Man-ch'ing. The course also gives a basic introduction to the movement form of classical T’ai Chi Ch’uan. Through gentle, flowing movements, participants develop an upright and relaxed posture. Training inner body awareness helps quiet the thoughts and the heartbeat and leave everyday stress behind. Besides this mental settling, the course specifically trains balance, concentration and general body coordination. The form is complemented by loosening and partner exercises that support the natural flow of energy and deepen the understanding of the movements. |

| Getting there | There are no permanent participant parking spaces at Marktplatz 5 itself, because Fritzlar's old town is largely traffic-calmed. There are several nearby parking options you can use when visiting the Volkshochschule Fritzlar. Central car parks nearby Car park Am "Grauen Turm" Location: Am Grauen Turm, 34560 Fritzlar Details: A popular, easy-to-reach car park right by the historic town wall. From there it is only a few minutes' walk to Marktplatz 5. A public toilet is also on site. Please note that this square can be closed temporarily during inner-city events or markets.
